Come grow with us through the Women's Ministry at Southmont Baptist Church. Our ministry exists to draw women into a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Participating in the various ministries enables women to deepen friendships with other women as together they grow spiritually through ministry and service.

Women need opportunities to be with other women to laugh, fellowship, be encouraged, and be inspired. Throughout the year, this ministry plans special occasions to facilitate interaction, strengthen the relationships between women, and strengthen the relationship between women and Jesus Christ.
Girlfriends Gathering
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His, we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Girlfriends Gathering is a spiritual and uplifting retreat offered to God's beautiful women each year, the last weekend in February. The retreat is an opportunity for spiritual growth, guidance, quiet reflection, building relationships with Godly women and creating a closer relationship with the Lord through the Biblical study of His word.
Missions
Love in Action
And, whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. - Colossians 3:17
Being Christ's love-in-action is a tangible way to enhance Southmont women's understanding of missions, both local and abroad. Through participating in hands-on service projects, praying for and learning about women in other cultures and countries, and partnering with church-wide mission emphasis, our goal is to increase mission awareness and involvement as an expression of our commitment to Christ's command to take His love into the world.
Education
Bible Studies
He who gives attention to the word shall find good, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.
- Proverbs 16:20
Bible studies are for women of all ages who have a desire to know the Lord, study His word and grow in His spirit. Through the Bible studies, women will form strong and lasting relationships that are a source of support, growth and strength as Godly women. Our mission is to make Bible study relevant to daily life through the power of the Holy Spirit and to make God's promises effective in each person's experiences. Classes are offered throughout the year during the day and evening.
Mentoring
These older women must train the younger women.
- Titus 2:4
Paul instructed mature Christian women to teach, and to model holy living to the younger women. Women mentoring women, is a unique and Biblical way to fulfill this mandate. Mentoring provides mature women an opportunity to serve and younger women with a trusted teacher and friend.
Publicity
The publicity team ministers in support of the work of all other teams in the areas of promoting events, publicizing the Women's Ministry and preserving event memories.
Nurture
Personal Touch, Uplifters and Women's Care
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men….

The Nurture Teams' mission is “to connect families to Jesus Christ by nurturing during times of illness, crisis, emergency, and adjustment.” The Nurture Teams are Personal Touch-a ministry to visitors and new members; Uplifters-a team of devoted prayer warriors, prayer teachers, and prayer leaders; and Women's Care-a ministry to Southmont women who are hospitalized.
Hand Me Downs With Love
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. - Proverbs 31: 13
Share and teach Home-Making skills to the young girls of our church while exemplifying a Godly woman. This could include skills and knowledge of, but not limited to, needle point, etiquette, cooking, crocheting, basic sewing, crafts, and more. These skills will be “handed-down” by Christian women with love.
