Southmont values children. We believe and embrace God’s command to “teach the Word of God to children, talking about them in every part of their lives” Deuteronomy 11:18-20. We know that this command was given to parents to spiritually guide their children through life.
Southmont Children’s Ministry is set up to help accomplish this goal.
Lessons and activities are designed to be relevant to children in their lives NOW! Being relevant as in helping children see that God’s Word is written for them and can be applied to every one of them.
Our goal is for children to be amazed by our great God and Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Word which would then cause them to want to learn more.
We have chosen our curriculum to plant seeds of truth and salvation while sparking a desire in the children to worship and praise The Lord from their own hearts.
We seek to guide them to own their relationship with Christ and come to Him just as they are but with the faith that He will mold them into that which they were created to be.
Matthew 21:16, “Jesus replies, ‘From the lips of children You, Lord, have called forth Your praise.’”
We desire for all children to meet, get to know, and then fall in love with Jesus, expressing and living that out through praise and worship, memorizing and applying scripture, disciple others, and ministering to the lost.
We seek to reach our Mission and Goal through activities we currently have available for Southmont and the community. These will change as our church changes to be relevant and ministering to the community and all over the world.
Your child will experience worship songs and lessons full of Bible truths.
