Three projects, in the order we will tackle them
Phase one has three pieces of work. The restrooms come first, because that is what the congregation has asked for more than anything else.
The restrooms
The main men’s and ladies’ restrooms outside the sanctuary, expanded, updated and made more accessible. This is the change the congregation has asked for most often, so it is where the work begins.
The fellowship hall and kitchen
The repairs the hall needs and a fresher look for the room, plus new appliances for the kitchen. The two are one piece of work and will be done together.
The road frontage
New landscaping the full length of the frontage, with decorative lighting — planted to be easier to maintain as well as better to look at. Southmont sits on a main road, so for a great many people in Denton this is the church they see.
The work, as it happens
These are the three areas as they stood the week the campaign opened. Every picture from here on gets compared against them.
