About Sarah

I have had the joy of serving at Southmont for six wonderful years as the Administrative Assistant. I help with membership, church events, communication, and much more. My goal is always to be a helpful resource to our church family—if I can’t help you myself, I’ll do my best to find someone who can!

Before coming to Southmont, I worked for several years at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of the School of Theology. It was during that time that I truly fell in love with administrative work. Southwestern is also where I met my husband, Jordan, while I was completing my undergraduate degree. Jordan and I have been married for 14 years, and we are blessed with two beautiful children.

Outside of work, I enjoy all kinds of crafty and cozy things, including sewing, puzzles, baking, and reading. One not-so-well-known fact about me is that I genuinely love cleaning and organizing—I know, it’s a little unusual, but I absolutely love it!

One of my greatest joys is serving with our youth girls. When I’m not at work, at home with my family, or working on one of my hobbies, you’ll often find me with my beloved youth girls. I adore them and love teaching and leading their small group on Wednesdays. Being able to walk alongside them through friendship, discipleship, and life is such a privilege.

I am naturally an introvert, so one of the things I find especially meaningful about my role is being able to welcome each person who walks into my office. I love having the opportunity to sit with people, make them feel seen and heard, and help in whatever way I can. I find such fulfillment in knowing that even the everyday tasks of my job can be used by the Lord to serve His people.

I am incredibly grateful that God has given me the opportunity to serve at Southmont and to be a small part of His Kingdom work every day.
